Celler Devinssi is a small winery based in Gratallops in the DOQ Priorat region of Catalonia. It was created in 2000 by Josep Roca, a Barcelona wine distributor, oenologist, and long-time wine lover.

The name is straightforward once you break it apart. “Celler” means winery or cellar. “Devinssi” comes from “De Vins, Sí,” which roughly means “about wines, yes” in Catalan. It also plays on the name Da Vinci, since in Catalan “Devinssi” sounds the same, hinting that crafting wine is its own form of art.

For more than two decades, Celler Devinssi has offered wine tastings, often out in the vineyards with open views of the Priorat landscape. Since 2014, it has earned TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice award year after year as the top winery in Gratallops, in Tarragona province, and in Catalonia. It ranks among the highest rated wineries in Spain on the platform.
