A Hidden Treasure of Liguria!
Set over 700 meters above sea level in the heart of Liguria, Tenuta Maffone is surrounded by forests, olive groves, and untouched nature. The century-old vineyards are cultivated by hand using sustainable methods, without herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
Passed down through generations, the estate produces limited quantities of red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. Thanks to its unique alpine microclimate and excellent sun exposure, Tenuta Maffone creates wines of remarkable purity, character, and authenticity.
Tour starts at 10:30am and at 4.30pm and it includes:
Guided walk from the winery to the vineyards and olive groves, offering panoramic views of the area and an explanation of cultivation practices (approximately 60 minutes).
After returning to the winery, the experience continues with a cellar tour and tasting of 7 wines:
- Brut Birillo
- Vermentino DOC
- Pigato DOC
- Ormeasco Sciac-Trà Rosato DOC
- Ormeasco DOC
- Granaccia DOC
- Ormeasco Superiore DOC
The tasting also includes the estate’s Monocultivar Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Taggiasca olives, paired with pickled olives, pitted olives in oil, and olive spread, all produced by the winery.
These will be accompanied by traditional local products, such as focaccia, sardenaira, and cured meats.
The experience concludes with grappa tasting and coffee.
