Your visit begins in an underground hypogean cellar built with bioarchitecture principles to blend seamlessly into the landscape. Inside, a six-meter section of exposed volcanic soil reveals layers of cooled lava and the roots of vines growing above, offering a rare look at Etna’s geological history. The family-run estate, among the first on Etna to be certified organic, cultivates native grapes like Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, and Catarratto in historic Contrade at high altitude. After exploring the cellar, you’ll move to a panoramic terrace overlooking the volcano and the Ionian Sea for a guided tasting of three Etna DOC organic wines: a mineral white, a fresh rosé, and an elegant red.
