• For wine enthusiasts: you can taste Adega do Vulcão’s full range of wines!
• Solar Terra Brum is Pico’s oldest wine estate, and it is located right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage vineyards.
• You'll learn about the rich history of winemaking in Pico island, and visit part of the old production facilities of the Solar.
• You can also exclusively taste wines from the nearby Faial island, where Adega do Vulcão is the only wine producer.
• The tasting takes place in a unique setting: the beautiful garden, from which you have a direct view on the 80-years old vineyards of the Solar and Pico mountain.
The visit lasts approximately one and a half hours and invites you to discover the essence of Adega do Vulcão: the unique history of our family winery, nestled between the islands of Faial (where we are the sole wine producer) and Pico, a tour of the historic Solar Terra Brum facilities, and a detailed explanation of each wine included in the tasting, accompanied by a small platter of local specialties.
The Premium Experience, including 7 tastings, is a fantastic opportunity to taste our full range of wines. It features guided insights into each wine and a short tour of the
property’s historic production facilities, plus a complimentary local cheese board.
The experience takes place in the magnificent and tranquil setting of the Terra Brum garden, with direct views of the over 80-year-old vineyards and Pico mountain.

Good to know before you book: Adega do Vulcão’s wine tasting is located in the historic Solar Terra Brum, at the heart of Criação Velha, a UNESCO World Heritage wine region. The Solar is easily accessible from Madalena: it is just a 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
Monday to Saturday between 12 pm and 7 pm.
