DiVes Winery is located close to the Town of Aheloy and Nesebar. It was built on the historic hill of Simeon’s Mound which has a magnificent view over the Black Sea coast between Aheloy and Pomorie.

Here, the Bulgarian king Simeon the Great defeated the Byzantine army in a battle in 917 A.D., thus affirming the power and position of Bulgaria. In honor of Simeon’s victory, we raised a monument named "The Eye of the Winner", which became a symbol for the winery and is invariably depicted on our wine label.

The highlights of the Special History and Wine tour are:

- The story of the Battle of Aheloy;

- A circular walk around the winery;

- Basic Wine production techniques;

- Combination of 6 excellent wines with 5 Bulgarian appetizers;

- Wonderful view over Nesebar, Aheloy, and Pomorie;

- Wine shop.

We offer free parking for buses, minibusses, and cars.

Visitors to the winery are introduced to the history of the Battle of the River Aheloy on August 20, 917, at the monument "The Eye of the Winner," erected in honor of the victory of Tsar Simeon the Great. After learning about this symbol of the winery, a tour of the winery is conducted, which includes:

- Information about the winery's vineyards.

- Details on grape processing and wine production at the winery's fermentation facilities.

- A tasting of 6 award-winning wines paired with bites of traditional Bulgarian foods, including an introduction to basic wine tasting techniques and information about each wine.

- During the tasting, a presentation or video about the winery is shown.

- After the tasting, visitors have the opportunity to visit the winery's store.
