The guide will provide an overview of Turin and its role in the development of the Italian identity. Food and wine specialties have been thriving in this territory because the royal and noble families were upfront in tastings.
We will start the tour with a chocolate experience.
First, try Bicerin, the traditional hot cup recipe consumed in the 19th century cafés and patisseries that we will be visiting. Sampling a selection of traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto, Cremino and a seasonal praline and moving to premium dark versions made with Criollo cocoa. We'll discuss the global issues and challenges that have been inspiring chocolatiers' creativity. The tasting will include a white wine like Arneis or Erbaluce and a red wine like Nebbiolo, Barbera, or Dolcetto. Each wine will be thoughtfully paired with locally sourced delicacies. Indulge in the rich flavors of artisanal cheeses, selected to complement the nuanced characteristics of each varietal, from creamy Robiola to tangy Castelmagno. Delight your palate with slices of premium cured ham, expertly curated to accentuate the savory notes and velvety textures of Piedmont's finest red wines.
Come hungry, thirsty, and excited to learn new things, and ready to explore the flavors of Turin!
